BORN OF THE SPIRIT

Part 5

 

Matthew 11:28

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

 

We have as our

 

John 6:37

"All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out."

 

We have as our subject for this article the most miraculous, humbling and beautiful issue in all of creation. I wish there was some way my few words could even begin to do it justice, but they never will. This 'issue' of course in the miracle of salvation, where the Lord's mercy scoops us out of the dirt and mire of this life and seats us with Him - in heavenly places!

 

Before we begin we must remember something of absolute importance: Salvation is a spiritual event. It must have a value and reality in the spiritual realm, or it is not salvation. While it would not be useful to discuss that in fine detail now (though we will at a somewhat later stage in our Spiritual Growth article series), what is fundamentally important for us at this point is to realize that

 

 

 John 8:36

"Therefore if the Son(Jesus) makes you free, you shall be free indeed."
